Our dogs are like our children. Needing lots of attention and companionship, it’s recommended that we don’t leave our pups alone for more than 4-6 hours at a time, which can become a problem with most households needing to work full time jobs.

That’s where Cheshire Paws come in to help! Your pup shouldn’t have to miss out on having fun because their parents have work commitments, health issues or maybe just struggle fitting in walks. To prevent your furry friend becoming bored, developing bad behaviour and maybe even some destructive habits, we’re here to get their paws moving!

Dog walks can be scheduled from 9am to 4pm. Your happy pup will be returned home, exhausted and ready for a nap. Paws will also be cleaned if we’ve been on a muddy adventure, and we’ll leave you a note to let you know what your furry friend got up to on our walk.

Safety is our biggest concern at Cheshire Paws. If you’re happy for your dog to be let off the lead, we will ask you to sign an “off lead” permission form. It is also vital that your dog shows no aggression towards people or other dogs to be a Cheshire Paws client. We’ll also ask you to complete a short form with your emergency contact details.

Cheshire Paws sticks to practices outlined by the Dogs Trust, Pet Industry Federation (PIF), and the Professional Dog Walkers Guidelines. It is essential that your dog is fully vaccinated, wormed, and treated for fleas and ticks, microchipped and wearing a collar/tag listing your contact details.

If you require regular walks, we may ask to keep hold of a set of house keys, which will be kept in a safe place with a random code for our identification. No house details will be kept with the keys. If you are uncomfortable with this, we can discuss other arrangements.

Please make it clear if your dog needs to be walked alone or if you have any preferences regarding your dogs usual walking schedule.

FUN AND SOCIALISATION

Associating new people with walkies, meeting new pup-friends, and being able to explore different areas all help to stimulate the mind of your furry friend. The shorter, 30 minute walk gives your dog chance to stretch their legs, and say hello to their furry neighbours!

HEALTHY, HOMEMADE TREATS

Healthy, homemade treats are always at hand with Cheshire Paws pet care. A well behaved pup will be happy and rewarded, and will return home with tummy full of healthy snacks. Teaching basic training is also an addition to the walk if necessary, so treats always come in handy here!

WATER REFRESH

On returning home, your pup will be tucked in for a nap with their favourite toy, and a fresh bowl of water. We can also give them a post-walk meal if you require. If you’d like us to turn on the tv or radio to help your furry friend feel more comfortable, just let us know.

What’s in the 60 Minute Package?

Standard Group Walk / Solo Walk£12.50 / £17.50

Each additional pet from the same household charged at a discounted rate. Please specify if dogs from the same household cannot be walked together.

FUN, EXPLORING AND SOCIALISATION

With the vast amount of beautiful Cheshire countryside our county has to offer, your pup will have lots of fun sniffing new smells and running around in nature. Associating new people with walkies, meeting new pup-friends, and being able to explore different areas all help to stimulate the mind of your furry friend. As part of the 60 minute walk, Cheshire Paws will safely transport your pup to a close by park or area of nature to play and socialise with other dogs. They’ll return home happy and totally exhausted after a long adventure through fields and woodland.

PAW CLEAN AND WATER REFRESH

After our adventure through the Cheshire countryside, your pup may have muddy paws. On returning home, your dog’s paws will be cleaned and dried. Cheshire Paws will refresh their water, and provide any post-walk meals if required. Your furry friend will be tucked in with their favourite toy and a Cheshire Paws snack. We can also leave the TV or radio on to help your pup feel a little more comfortable, if you need.
