Dog Walking

Dog Walking

Our team of friendly, knowledgable and professional dog walkers are here to support you. Our clients love our bespoke dog walking service offering off-lead pack walks in a fenced and secured environment, with toys, scent zones and agility equipment.

The team at Cheshire Paws have specialist knowledge in dog behaviour. In order to maintain a healthy, stress-free pack environment, all dogs are assessed at a free meet and greet before being accepted.

We accept dogs of any age as long as they can demonstrate friendly behaviour and do not show signs of aggression, dominance or resource guarding.

Our pack walks are 1 hour long. Dogs are collected and dropped off at your door, so you can expect them to be out for around 2 hours. On drop off, we also offer food and water refresh as part of our service. Dogs are also towel dried should they get wet.

Here at Cheshire Paws, we have our own 6 foot fenced secured dog field in Northwich. Dogs are let out of their crates inside of the gate and are free to foam off-lead in the entire field. Basic recall training and long-line work will be undertaken with some dogs who need this. We also have a box of toys for well behaved pups, and some excellent pieces of agility equipment and scent areas for even more stimulation!

We hold keys for most of our clients houses which are labelled with your dogs name. Our kets cannot be traced to your address. Finally, all of our staff are DBS cleared.

To join our pack walks at Cheshire Paws, your dog must be:

Frequently Answered Questions

  • What is the new client onboarding process?

Dogs who are wanting to join our pack walks must be friendly, social and reasonably confident. They must not show any signs of unnessesary aggression or antisocial behaviour. Before our team add your dog to a group, a meet and greet must be undertaken in which your dog will be assessed. Don’t worry – it’s not as scary as it sounds! We will come to your home and meet your dog(s). You can guide is through their normal routine and ask us any questions. The meet and greet is free of charge and normally take around 15-30 minutes. Should this be successful, we will send you a welcome invite to our app and your four-legged friend will be able to start walks straight away.

  • What is the walk structure?

Dogs are collected from home or at a chosen workplace or designated family member’s home. Our staff have keys for each property which are labelled with the dogs name only, so there is no trace from a key to an address. Your dog will travel in our crated van to our own secured field. Dogs will be let out of the van inside the secured environment, and will be free to explore our agility circuit, scent zones and toybox. Our staff love to play chase, fetch and tug-of-war with the dogs too! The pack can run and play as much as they want, safely, inside our 6 foot fencing. Basic training may be taken for dogs who need recall practice. After 1 hour, your dog is dropped back at your door, ready for a nap. We will refresh any food and wter and towel dry the dog should this be required. With collection and drop off, you can expect your dog to be out up to 2 hours.

  • How long is the walk?

Currently, due to high demand, we only offer 1 hour pack walks. Occasionally, we may be able to accommodate a 1-2-1 walk should a client need this – please get in touch to discuss. Normally, with collection and drop off, your dog will be out for around 2 hours.

  • What can the dogs do on the field?

Our field is set up with agility equipment and unique scent zones to stimulate your dogs brain. We have an array of toys to play with too!

  • Will my dog be safe when travelling?

Your dog will travel in a crate. Our vans have multiple crates to suit the size of your dog.

  • How many dogs are walked in the pack?

Depending on the temperaments and sizes of the dogs, our packs can be up to 10 dogs.

  • Are the staff at Cheshire Paws insured and police checked?

All of our staff are fully covered by public liability insurance and all hold a full, clear DBS check.
